Germany is moving to spend 3.5% of GDP on defense by 2029, making a historic turn in its post-WWII policy, according to Reuters. The funding will support modern military hardware, expanded NATO obligations, and cyber warfare defenses.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz is expected to publicly announce this at the NATO Summit, reinforcing Germanyβs commitment to shared European security.
